Clubs Officer

Part-time Contract

The University of Newcastle Student Association (UNSA) is looking for a customer-focused Clubs and Societies Officer to be the first point of contact for enquiries relating to the over seventy non-sporting student clubs and societies at the University of Newcastle. This position is responsible for affiliating clubs and approving club events and thus must ensure accurate, up-to-date records are kept tracking engagement, expenditure and growth amongst clubs.

This position will also assist in the planning and running of UNSA Club Team’s events, including logistics, liaising with stakeholders, creative input on how events look and feel, as well as record keeping and student follow up for events. It contributes to the provision of high-quality student service and support to ensure timely and effective customer-focused service delivery of student engagement initiatives and is responsible for contributing to the provision of engaging, timely and meaningful opportunities and support for registered student clubs and societies.

This is a great opportunity to join a fresh, young not-for-profit organisation (born on 1 July 2020) whose purpose is to positively impact the student experience at the University of Newcastle in matters related to educational experience, welfare, and wellbeing, and by providing a range of activities, extra-curricular events and out-of-class engagement opportunities.
