DESCRIPTION:Assists Aboriginal Victorians to participate in Aboriginal sport carnivals\, buy sports uniforms and equipment\, as well as funding for travel and accommodation expenses for athletes to compete in state and national competitions. \n\n\nThe Aboriginal Sport Participation Grant Program provides grants to assist Aboriginal Victorians to participate in Aboriginal sporting carnivals\, buy sports uniforms and equipment\, as well as funding for travel and accommodation expenses for athletes to compete in state and national competitions. \nThe program has three categories: \nCategory 1: Aboriginal Sporting Carnivals\n– Grants of up to $2\,500 per junior team with a maximum total of $15\,000 and $1\,500 per senior team\, with a maximum total of $9\,000\, are available to eligible applicants to pay for travel\, accommodation and registration costs to participate in Victorian or national Aboriginal sporting carnivals and/or tournaments\n– Eligible organisations can apply for up to 10 separate teams or individuals under one application\, however\, under category 1 a separate application must be submitted for each specific sporting event. \nCategory 2: Uniforms or Equipment\n– Grants of up to $1\,000 per team and up to $250 per individual\, with a maximum total of $6\,000\, are available to eligible applicants\, for the purchase sporting uniforms and/or equipment\n– Eligible organisations can apply for up to 10 separate teams or individuals under one application. \nCategory 3: Athlete Participation Support (see other listing)\n– Grants of up to $350 for Regional Selection\, $550 for State Selection and $750 for National Competition Selection per individual (including athletes and coaches) are available to eligible applicants\, to pay for travel and accommodation costs to compete or train in regional\, state and national competitions or representative teams that demonstrate a pathway opportunity\n– Eligible organisations can apply for up to 10 individuals under one application\, however\, under category 3 a separate application must be submitted for each specific sporting event.\n– Applications submitted under category 3 will be accepted from the opening of Round 1 until funding is exhausted. \nWho Can Apply?\n– Aboriginal Individuals and teams that are not affiliated with a club or association can apply for a grant in categories 1 and 2 but must have an arrangement with an organisation from the list attached to these guidelines to manage the grant funding on their behalf through a funding agreement with the department.\n– Aboriginal Community groups that are not incorporated may also apply for a grant for their community members (Aboriginal individuals or teams) but must have an incorporated association acting as an auspicing body to manage the funding on their behalf through a funding agreement with the department.\n– Incorporated sporting clubs and associations or Aboriginal Community Controlled organisations may apply for a grant on behalf of the members (Aboriginal individuals or teams) and will b

You can also use the grant to start or expand a nonprofit\, non-governmental organization (NGO)\, charity\, or propose a specific activity or project you would like to implement. \nAre the grants limited to a specific field (like health)?\n– Absolutely not. You can propose activities in any field\, trade\, occupation\, or craft. However\, your business/organization/idea must focus on women\, girls and/or families. DESCRIPTION:Helps to build vibrant and sustainable rural communities and ensure the ongoing prosperity of regional Australia. \n\n\nIt is built on two key tenets:\n– Vibrant communities are diverse and inclusive with strong social capital\, where everyone can participate and build a better life\n– Sustainable communities innovate\, expand and create opportunities that will deliver demonstrable medium to long-term economic benefit to the community\, contributing to economic sustainability. \nThe ANZ Seeds of Renewal program is focused upon supporting projects that align to one of ANZ’s four focus areas:\n1. Improving environmental sustainability\n2. Improving financial wellbeing within the community\n3. Improving access to housing\n4. Other community projects that assist local communities to thrive. \nAll requests will be considered with a focus on the priority areas listed below:\n– Projects that will deliver demonstrable medium to long-term benefit to a regional Australian community\n– Projects that benefit a large number of people from a diverse range of social groups\n– Projects that encourage inclusion and participation of under-represented or marginalised groups\n– Projects that demonstrate co-contributions (either in-kind or from other funding sources) and broad community support will be looked upon favourably – it is highly recommended that you include these within your application. \nA broad range of charitable projects aligned to the program themes are considered under this program including:\n– Delivering\, or providing activities\, events\, programs and services\n– Purchasing or hiring equipment and materials\n– Community infrastructure projects\n– Developing the resources of the community including volunteers and items that will enable participation in projects. \nOpportunities may also be made available for ANZ staff to provide further in-kind support by volunteering their time to assist successful organisations. \nTo apply\, you must meet the following criteria:\n– Not-for-profit organisations with or without DGR-1 endorsement are eligible\n– Applicant organisations must be a not-for-profit organisation with either an Incorporation Certificate and/or an ABN\n– Project must be for charitable purposes and offer clear public benefit\n– Organisations can submit one application per grant round\n– Projects must benefit communities in remote\, rural or regional Australia.

To say thanks for your support\, a grants program has been launched: National Pies for Local Legends. \nAny registered Australian community group\, sporting club or not-for-profit organisation can apply. A grant of $1\,000 will be awarded each month\, beginning in March 2024. A major grant of $10\,000 will also be awarded at the end of each 12 month period (end of February). \nWhether you need new boots for your footy club\, art supplies for your painting group\, a special trip funded\, or something else entirely – tell us how National Pies can help! \nFor this current grant period\, the $10\,000 grant will be selected from all grant applications received from 12:00am on 1 February\, 2025 through to 11:59 on 31 March\, 2026.
