SUMMARY:GRANT-TAS Dough for the People Community Grants
DESCRIPTION:Supports a wide range of individuals\, organisations and community initiatives across Tasmania. \n\n\nGrants for the upcoming financial year will fall under the two categories outlined below: \n1. Starter Grants – $1\,000 – 8 grants available\nStarter Grants are designed to give individuals the best possible start as they rise to special opportunities. These grants are open to Tasmanians selected to represent Tasmania or Australia at national or international events — from sport to arts and everything in between. \n2. Mixture Grants – $1\,500 – 8 grants available\nStrong communities are built just like great baking — with the right ingredients and people who care. Community Mixture Grants bring together support for local clubs\, organisations\, community groups and individuals across Tasmania. \nThese grants are available to those who:\n– Need assistance to provide facilities\, equipment or services that benefit their local community\n– Are fundraising for medical assistance\, essential equipment or important research\n– Are working on initiatives that strengthen and support Tasmanian communities \nWhether you’re upgrading your clubrooms\, delivering a new community program\, or helping someone through a challenging time\, we’re here to help you. \nGrants are made almost every month of the year. \nIn addition: Product Donations –\n– Unfortunately\, Cripps can’t donate product free of charge. DESCRIPTION:Inclusion matters. Based on key learnings from the Inclusive Volunteering Pathways to Employment Program\, this engaging workshop will explore how to build an inclusive community where people of all abilities and backgrounds can contribute. \nThe workshop will explore the positive outcomes of inclusive volunteering by reviewing case studies and utilising practical tips to increase inclusion. This workshop will provide you with the skills to remove the barriers to volunteering and provide you with the tools to help people find meaningful volunteering opportunities.  You will be challenged to consider the benefits that can be unlocked through volunteering\, including a stronger sense of social inclusion in your workplace. Identifying barriers to inclusion and understanding simple solutions for removing these barriers will be explored from both the individual and organisation. \nOutcomes: \nBy the end of this session\, you will be able to: \n\nexplain principles of inclusive volunteering;\noutline why inclusion is beneficial in volunteering​;\nidentify barriers to inclusion​​;\nconsider solutions to the barriers impacting on volunteering​​; and\,\ndescribe what it means to be part of an inclusive team.\n\nSession Date: Thursday 30 April 2026\nSession Time: 10am – 12pm\nSession Location: Online via Microsoft Teams (link sent to registered attendees prior to the session) \nThis training is free (valued at $85 and paid for by the Australian Government.)
