SUMMARY:GRANT-NAT Creating Period Pride Competition
DESCRIPTION:Aims to end the shame and stigma that surrounds periods. \n\n\nShare the Dignity is asking young Australians in schools and community groups to create ‘Period Pride Media’ to inspire\, entertain and get people talking about periods! \nThe Creating Period Pride competition encourages Australia’s youth to submit creative\, thought-provoking content that aims to remove the shame and stigma associated with having a period. \nShare the Dignity believes creative thinking drives discovery and learning. They hope that by approaching the social issues surrounding menstruation with creativity they can create an awareness of stigmas\, encourage empathy and ultimately be part of the solution. \nThis year\, your Period Pride entry must fit into one of the following categories: A video/short film\, a performed song\, an artwork\, a major art installation\, or a written piece. \nWhat you can win for your school or community group:\n– $5k overall winner\n– $2k second place\n– $1k third place\n– $1k category winners. \nThe first 100 new schools and community groups to register for the 2025 Creating Period Pride competition will be sent a Period Pride toolkit. The Creating Period Pride toolkit includes everything needed to get young people talking about periods and removing the shame and stigma around periods. The pack will get students well on their way to creating media that will change the way we think about periods. \nClick here to view full funding guidelines on the provider’s website.

SUMMARY:GRANT-NAT Youth Action and Wellbeing Grants
DESCRIPTION:Offers grants to groups led by young people (under 30) across the country working to create positive systemic change. \n\n\nFYA back young people to make the change they want to see in the world. These grants aim to support under-resourced youth-led groups and grassroots campaigns with lived experience of injustice\, by providing the resources they need to make a positive difference and helping them take care of themselves and their communities. \nFYA is offering two types of grants:\n– Youth Action Grants: $5\,000 to $15\,000 to fund actions that create systemic change (up to $75\,000 in total). Grants are for youth-led groups seeking funds to advance tangible campaign goals or develop campaigns\n– Wellbeing Grants: $2\,000 to $5\,000 to support the wellbeing of youth-led groups to keep up the fight sustainably (up to $25\,000 in total). Grants are for youth-led groups seeking funds to develop wellbeing initiatives that aim to build resilience\, strengthen connections and address burnout as they campaign for change. \nFYA will back up the grants with wraparound support from FYA’s Youth Action Team. Youth-led groups who receive grants will be part of a program which includes:\n– Coaching and training in a number of valuable skills including media\, digital and social media\, strategy development\, team culture and wellbeing\, community organising\, and intersectionality\n– Support to increase monitoring and evaluation skills to build the evidence base of their work\, assisting with securing ongoing sustainable funding for long term change. \nFYA will prioritise funding for:\n– Grassroots campaigns\, projects\, organisations and movements. By grassroots\, we mean campaigns\, projects and movements that are based in community and not attached to a large organisation\n– Current funding: Campaigns/organisations who don’t currently have much funding or funding opportunities\n– Lived experience: Organisations\, communities or campaigns that are led by people who have lived experience being disabled or LGBTQI+\, of poverty\, of racism\, of gender discrimination\, being in the justice system\, state care\, mental health system\, impacts of climate change and/or housing instability. \nFYA are open to funding a wide array of activities\, limited only by your imagination and the following criteria:\n– The application must be on behalf of a group\, organisation or community\, not an individual\, and based in Australia\n– Groups or campaigns must be led by young people under the age of 30 with lived experience of the issues they are campaigning on\n– The group or campaign must have a tangible goal or goals\, which must be focused on structural change (eg. not awareness raising or training/education\, but funding for training as part of a campaign for structural change fits within the criteria)\n– Campaign goals must be aligned with FYA’s values. \nClick here to view full funding guidelines on the provider’s website. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHomeTerms & ConditionsPrivacy Policy

SUMMARY:GRANT-AUS IGA Community Chest
DESCRIPTION:Raises funds to support local communities\, charities and other worthwhile causes. It could be in response to a major event like floods or bush fires or something as simple as new soccer balls for the local under 8’s. \n\n\nIGA Community Chest and associated programs have raised over $86 million for local community groups\, not-for-profit organisations\, charities and other worthy causes. This money has assisted over 7\,000 worthwhile causes. \nThe money is raised in a number of ways but predominately through the purchase of products with an IGA Community Chest logo on the label or ticket. Also through purchasing any Community Co product you can help your local IGA grow its Community Chest fund. \nWhen you purchase a product with the IGA Community Chest logo printed on the label a percentage is credited to that store’s IGA Community Chest account. During IGA Community Chest catalogue promotion weeks\, all products in the catalogue bearing the special IGA Community Chest logo contribute to the ‘Chest’. Throughout the year\, extra fundraising activities are conducted by stores and regions. \nIGA Community Chest beneficiary cheques are distributed throughout the year in most states. \nBecause IGA stores are independently owned\, each store will choose the local causes that they would like to support. Please find your local IGA and approach them directly. \nIGA uses a three-tier selection system:\n– Local causes are chosen by individual store owners\n– Regional causes are selected by clusters of stores or regional management\n– State-level initiatives are determined in consultation with State IGA executives or boards. \nPrepare a pitch and it may include:\n– An overview of your organisation and/or the individual that you’d like supported\n– What support are you looking for – monies\, donations of goods\, providing team jumpers\, holding regular fundraising at the store\, group registrations at the store\, etc\n– How the donation will be used and your timing. Is there anything you can offer in return to IGA?\n– Don’t forget to include your contact details. \nTypical grants include support for:\n– Local sports clubs (e.g. soccer jerseys\, equipment)\n– Schools (e.g. musical instruments or facility upgrades)\n– Emergency responses (e.g. flood relief)\n– Community services (e.g. men’s sheds\, RFS brigades). \nClick here to view full funding guidelines on the provider’s website.
