SUMMARY:GRANT-NSW Grants for Good Program
DESCRIPTION:Helps communities within the Ausgrid network area (Eastern Sydney\, CBD\, Newcastle\, Central Coast\, Hunter Valley and Coffs Harbour). \n\n\nThe Grants for Good program is open and is an important part of fostering connections with Ausgrid’s community and demonstrating their dedication to a sustainable\, innovative\, and community-focused future. \nGrants are one important way Ausgrid is helping communities in their network. By providing substantial funding through Electrification Grants and Grassroots Grants\, they are not just talking about their commitment to community and sustainability – they are actively investing in it. \nThere are two types of grants: \n1. Electrification Grants – Up to $15\,000\nHelp your community embrace the switch from fossil fuels to electric alternatives. These grants support projects that promote a sustainable electric future—from installing induction cooktops in community kitchens to setting up EV charging infrastructure for not-for-profits. \n2. Grassroots Grants – Up to $5\,000\nSupport causes and organisations our communities care about. Nominate charities\, volunteer groups\, local sports teams and organisations in our network area for initiatives that strengthen community connection\, promote safety and wellbeing\, or improve equity and accessibility. \nAusgrid are looking for projects that align with one or more of these themes:\n– Electrification: Helping community organisations transition to a sustainable electric future. This could include switching from gas to electric appliances\, installing solar systems\, or setting up electric vehicle charging infrastructure\n– Community: Strengthening connections and bringing people together. Projects that build social cohesion\, create inclusive spaces\, or support community activities\n– Equity and Accessibility: Making electricity and renewable energy available to all. Projects that address energy equity\, support vulnerable communities\, or improve accessibility to energy services\n– Safety: Supporting the safety and wellbeing of our communities. This includes electrical safety initiatives\, emergency preparedness\, or projects that enhance community safety. \nEligibility criteria\n– Your organisation must be registered and operating within the Ausgrid network area (Eastern Sydney\, CBD\, Newcastle\, Central Coast\, Hunter Valley and Coffs Harbour)\n– Organisations should be not-for-profit or community organisations\n– Your project must be delivered within the Ausgrid network area\n– Your project must align with one or more of four grant themes\n– Funds must be used within the 2026 calendar year. \nClick here to view full funding guidelines on the provider’s website.
