SUMMARY:GRANT-SA Multicultural Community Fund
DESCRIPTION:Helps expand and improve infrastructure to support South Australia’s multicultural communities. \n\n\nThe fund aims to create accessible\, inclusive and welcoming community facilities across South Australia\, where people can connect and celebrate culture. \nFunding will prioritise those most in need of support to build and strengthen their community connections. \nFund Objectives\n– Address gaps and needs in community infrastructure for multicultural groups\n– Create inclusive and accessible venues for cultural celebration and connection\, and\n– Strengthen community capacity and capability to lead\, deliver and manage community infrastructure. \nFund Outcomes\n– Increased access to community infrastructure\n– Greater social interaction from community members of all ages and backgrounds\n– Enhanced connection within communities\, and\n– Enhanced equity\, inclusion and cohesion among South Australian communities. \nThe fund supports projects such as:\n– New builds: constructing new facilities\n– Upgrades and extensions: major renovations\, redevelopments or extensions to existing community facilities\n– Outdoor spaces: developing or upgrading owned and secured outdoor community or cultural spaces. \nEligible applicants must have an Australian business number (ABN) and be one of the following:\n– A local council\n– An incorporated not-for-profit multicultural community organisations\n– An Australian public company limited by guarantee\, which has a primary purpose of supporting multicultural communities. \nClick here to view full funding guidelines on the provider’s website.

SUMMARY:GRANT-SA - Expand Together Grants
DESCRIPTION:Provides one-off funding to eligible multicultural organisations to purchase equipment\, extend or build community facilities for use by South Australia’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities. \n\n\nThe Expand Together Grants aim to ensure there are necessary facilities and equipment for community members to come together\, access the services and programs they need\, and connect with the wider local community network. \nExpand Together Grants of up to $100\,000 are available to multicultural organisations for projects to be delivered over 12 months. \nThere are four categories under the Expand Together Grants.\n– Equipment Grant up to $50\,000\n– Infrastructure Grant up to $50\,000\n– Equipment Grant between $50\,001 – $100\,000\n– Infrastructure Grant between $50\,001 – $100\,000. \nThere are matched funding requirements for applicants requesting more than $50\,000. \nThe Expand Together Grants invest in multicultural organisations to achieve one or more of the following outcomes:\n– Increase the use and access of community facilities and equipment by culturally and linguistically diverse communities to support participation in activities\, and the delivery of services\, to meet community need\n– Support new and emerging communities who may have difficulties in accessing community infrastructure and equipment readily\, and foster partnerships (financial or non-financial) between culturally and linguistically diverse communities through shared use of facilities and equipment. \nTo be eligible for funding\, multicultural organisations must:\n– Be non-government\, not-for-profit\n– Have a registered Australian Business Number (ABN)\n– Provide satisfactory evidence that their core purpose is to deliver initiatives\, services or support for culturally and linguistically diverse communities in South Australia\n– Be South Australian based.

SUMMARY:GRANT-SA - Sexual Health Week Community Grants
DESCRIPTION:Provides five successful organisations with a grant to host an event that raises awareness of sexual and reproductive health. \n\n\nThis year Sexual Health Week is celebrated from 8-14 September and aims to raise awareness of sexual health and relationship wellbeing. \nThe theme this year is ‘The more you know\,’ focusing on the power of accurate sexual health knowledge. \nSHINE SA wants to support your organisation or community group to get involved in Sexual Health Week! \nSHINE SA will provide five successful organisations with a $2\,000 grant (inc gst) to host an event that raises awareness of sexual and reproductive health. SHINE SA can also support your organsation by providing resources (such as posters\, condoms\, Fact Sheets) and information. \nThere are all types of events that can help start conversations around sexual health and relationship wellbeing. Here are some ideas to get you started:\n– Host a workshop or morning tea where you chat about respectful relationships and sexual health facts\n– Run a trivia session with myth-busting questions about STIs\, consent\, and contraception\n– Create a youth scavenger hunt or quiz focused on safety\, respect\, and sexual health knowledge\n– Hand out ‘knowledge kits’ with resources\, condoms\, and helpful links at your workplace or school\n– Invite a speaker or show a short video for a lunchtime info session on a sexual health topic\n– Host an event inviting people to share “one thing they wish they’d learned earlier” about sexual health\n– Host an art workshop with a session on consent and communication in relationships. \nThese events could have a theme\, for example: ‘contraception options – your choice’ highlighting the various options for contraception and their benefits. \nAnyone with an ABN (South Australia only) can apply for a grant. Preference will be given to applicants that meet the following criteria:\n– Targets 18–30 year olds\n– Broadens an understanding of sexual health and in particular safety\, pleasure and respect\n– Empowers young people to participate. \nPriority will also be given to applicants working with young adults who are culturally and linguistically diverse\, are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander\, LGBTIQA+\, have a disability\, or live in economically marginalised areas. \nOrganisations must also agree to the following –\nThe planned event will:\n– Respect diversity and inclusion\, including LGBTIQA+ inclusion\n– Offer a positive and open view of relationships and sexuality\n– Share evidence-based information and be contextually appropriate for the audience.
