DESCRIPTION:Raises funds to support local communities\, charities and other worthwhile causes. It could be in response to a major event like floods or bush fires or something as simple as new soccer balls for the local under 8’s. \n\n\nIGA Community Chest and associated programs have raised over $86 million for local community groups\, not-for-profit organisations\, charities and other worthy causes. This money has assisted over 7\,000 worthwhile causes. \nThe money is raised in a number of ways but predominately through the purchase of products with an IGA Community Chest logo on the label or ticket. Also through purchasing any Community Co product you can help your local IGA grow its Community Chest fund. \nWhen you purchase a product with the IGA Community Chest logo printed on the label a percentage is credited to that store’s IGA Community Chest account. During IGA Community Chest catalogue promotion weeks\, all products in the catalogue bearing the special IGA Community Chest logo contribute to the ‘Chest’. Throughout the year\, extra fundraising activities are conducted by stores and regions. \nIGA Community Chest beneficiary cheques are distributed throughout the year in most states. \nBecause IGA stores are independently owned\, each store will choose the local causes that they would like to support. SUMMARY:GRANT-NSW Local Sport Grant Program
DESCRIPTION:Aims to support grassroots sporting clubs to increase participation\, host events\, improve access and enhance sport and recreation facilities. \n\n\nThe Local Sport Grant Program aims to increase regular and on-going participation opportunities in sport in NSW. Through this Program the Office of Sport is working towards our goals to achieve:\n– Sector Growth: Supporting the sector in adapting and growing sport and active recreation at all levels across NSW\n– Facilities and Spaces: Enabling an inclusive and accessible network of facilities and places for sport and active recreation\n– For all People: Facilitating increased opportunities for inclusion in sport and active recreation so every person in NSW can participate throughout their whole life. \nThe key objectives of the Program align to the Office of Sport Strategic Plan with the specific objectives to:\n– Increase regular and on-going participation in sport\n– Increase participation opportunities for unrepresented groups including women and girls\, people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities\, people with disability\, First Nations peoples and LGBTQIA+ people\n– Reduce barriers and improve access to participation in sport\n– Assist sport clubs to provide quality experiences to their members and meet community needs. Increase financial sustainability and improve facilities of community level sporting clubs. \nFunding of $50\,000 per electorate will be allocated to all 93 electorates throughout NSW. Applicants must identify their ‘project location’ address to ensure the application is assessed in the correct electorate e.g.\, your training ground or where your project will take place. \nA single organisation may make multiple applications\, however the maximum amount of funding that can be awarded to any one organisation is $20\,000. \nEligible projects include but are not limited to:\n– Projects that contribute to quality sporting experiences\n– Improve access to sporting events by reducing barriers to participation\n– Create\, upgrade or repair sports facilities. \nEligible applicants:\n– Incorporated\, not-for-profit grassroots sport clubs whose primary focus is to organise sporting activities; deliver ongoing sporting programs; and/or develop member’s skills\n– Aligned with a recognised sport listed in Appendix A of the guidelines\n– Sports organisations or clubs associated with a school\, church or university can apply providing they are a not-for-profit club incorporated in their own right\n– Applications from Licenced Sporting Clubs may be considered providing the project directly benefits the sport\, not the administration processes of the licenced club or upgrades of the licenced premises. \nClick here to view full funding guidelines on the provider’s website.

DESCRIPTION:Assists Aboriginal Victorians to participate in Aboriginal sport carnivals\, buy sports uniforms and equipment\, as well as funding for travel and accommodation expenses for athletes to compete in state and national competitions. \n\n\nThe Aboriginal Sport Participation Grant Program provides grants to assist Aboriginal Victorians to participate in Aboriginal sporting carnivals\, buy sports uniforms and equipment\, as well as funding for travel and accommodation expenses for athletes to compete in state and national competitions. \nThe program has three categories: \nCategory 1: Aboriginal Sporting Carnivals\n– Grants of up to $2\,500 per junior team with a maximum total of $15\,000 and $1\,500 per senior team\, with a maximum total of $9\,000\, are available to eligible applicants to pay for travel\, accommodation and registration costs to participate in Victorian or national Aboriginal sporting carnivals and/or tournaments\n– Eligible organisations can apply for up to 10 separate teams or individuals under one application\, however\, under category 1 a separate application must be submitted for each specific sporting event. \nCategory 2: Uniforms or Equipment\n– Grants of up to $1\,000 per team and up to $250 per individual\, with a maximum total of $6\,000\, are available to eligible applicants\, for the purchase sporting uniforms and/or equipment\n– Eligible organisations can apply for up to 10 separate teams or individuals under one application. \nCategory 3: Athlete Participation Support (see other listing)\n– Grants of up to $350 for Regional Selection\, $550 for State Selection and $750 for National Competition Selection per individual (including athletes and coaches) are available to eligible applicants\, to pay for travel and accommodation costs to compete or train in regional\, state and national competitions or representative teams that demonstrate a pathway opportunity\n– Eligible organisations can apply for up to 10 individuals under one application\, however\, under category 3 a separate application must be submitted for each specific sporting event.\n– Applications submitted under category 3 will be accepted from the opening of Round 1 until funding is exhausted. \nWho Can Apply?\n– Aboriginal Individuals and teams that are not affiliated with a club or association can apply for a grant in categories 1 and 2 but must have an arrangement with an organisation from the list attached to these guidelines to manage the grant funding on their behalf through a funding agreement with the department.\n– Aboriginal Community groups that are not incorporated may also apply for a grant for their community members (Aboriginal individuals or teams) but must have an incorporated association acting as an auspicing body to manage the funding on their behalf through a funding agreement with the department.\n– Incorporated sporting clubs and associations or Aboriginal Community Controlled organisations may apply for a grant on behalf of the members (Aboriginal individuals or teams) and will b

DESCRIPTION:Provides financial investment into community football facilities across the state. \n\n\nClubs will be able to apply for funding to support projects that have a positive impact on AFL participation and experience. \nThe objectives of the NSW Facilities Fund are to:\n– Maximise the carrying capacity of existing venues and the quality/functionality of their supporting infrastructure\n– Develop new and increased carrying capacity through construction of new ovals\, especially in growing communities in a variety of traditional or innovative settings\n– Provide inclusive and accessible facilities that cater for the diversity of participants\, particularly female participants\, who wish to participate in our game\n– Develop venues to support the game’s complete talent pathway\, umpiring\, landmark heritage sites and people working and volunteering within the game\n– Enable planning and project partnerships to form with a range of government and non-government bodies to result in an improved quantity\, quality and welcoming venue network for Australian Football\n– Provide immediate support for those directly affected by natural disasters throughout Australia. \nEligible projects include\, but are not limited to:\n– Development of new football ovals and amenities\, both in traditional and more innovative settings\n– Provision of all gender changerooms for all those that participate in football – players\, officials and umpires\n– Identify projects where carrying capacity can be increased by upgrading playing surfaces through improved drainage\, irrigation and turf management\n– Football lighting installations or upgrades that deliver greater participation opportunities\n– Projects that protect a football facility against the impact of climate change (i.e. warm season grass conversions\, water re-use projects)\n– The upgrade or development of multi-use facilities where football is a key user/beneficiary\n– Supporting clubs impacted by natural disasters\n– Projects that meet relevant Australian Standards as per the AFL’s Preferred Facility Guidelines\n– Implementation of Environmentally Sustainable Design which applies or demonstrates principles of Universal Design. \nThe AFL Facilities Fund program is open to:\n– Local government authorities in New South Wales\n– All affiliated Australian Football Clubs in New South Wales\n– Schools based in NSW\n– Other stakeholders invested in building the capacity of our facilities and growing the game.

This grant is one of four Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants administered by the Office of Responsible Gambling. \nWho can apply:\n– Not-for-profit organisations that will be responsible for operating and/or maintaining the infrastructure\n– Schools: applicants must consider if and how the infrastructure project is accessible to the public outside school hours\n– Local councils: applicants are required to cash-match the funding amount requested. \nYou can apply for funding under this stream if your project supports infrastructure such as:\n– Indoor organised sports centre (e.g. indoor cricket\, basketball)\n– Leisure centre (e.g. martial arts dojo\, gymnastics centre)\n– Outdoor organised sports facility (e.g. football field\, netball courts)\n– Recreation space (e.g. playground\, skate-park)\n– Large-scale purpose-built facility (e.g. stadium\, velodrome\, motorsports facility)\n– Water sports (e.g swimming pool). \nYour project will need to be infrastructure that is accessible and available to the public most of the time. \nInfrastructure Grants can be used for costs such as construction\, the purchase of capital equipment and professional fees.
