SUMMARY:GRANT-SA - Sexual Health Week Community Grants
DESCRIPTION:Provides five successful organisations with a grant to host an event that raises awareness of sexual and reproductive health. \n\n\nThis year Sexual Health Week is celebrated from 8-14 September and aims to raise awareness of sexual health and relationship wellbeing. \nThe theme this year is ‘The more you know\,’ focusing on the power of accurate sexual health knowledge. \nSHINE SA wants to support your organisation or community group to get involved in Sexual Health Week! \nSHINE SA will provide five successful organisations with a $2\,000 grant (inc gst) to host an event that raises awareness of sexual and reproductive health. SHINE SA can also support your organsation by providing resources (such as posters\, condoms\, Fact Sheets) and information. \nThere are all types of events that can help start conversations around sexual health and relationship wellbeing. Here are some ideas to get you started:\n– Host a workshop or morning tea where you chat about respectful relationships and sexual health facts\n– Run a trivia session with myth-busting questions about STIs\, consent\, and contraception\n– Create a youth scavenger hunt or quiz focused on safety\, respect\, and sexual health knowledge\n– Hand out ‘knowledge kits’ with resources\, condoms\, and helpful links at your workplace or school\n– Invite a speaker or show a short video for a lunchtime info session on a sexual health topic\n– Host an event inviting people to share “one thing they wish they’d learned earlier” about sexual health\n– Host an art workshop with a session on consent and communication in relationships. \nThese events could have a theme\, for example: ‘contraception options – your choice’ highlighting the various options for contraception and their benefits. \nAnyone with an ABN (South Australia only) can apply for a grant. Preference will be given to applicants that meet the following criteria:\n– Targets 18–30 year olds\n– Broadens an understanding of sexual health and in particular safety\, pleasure and respect\n– Empowers young people to participate. \nPriority will also be given to applicants working with young adults who are culturally and linguistically diverse\, are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander\, LGBTIQA+\, have a disability\, or live in economically marginalised areas. \nOrganisations must also agree to the following –\nThe planned event will:\n– Respect diversity and inclusion\, including LGBTIQA+ inclusion\n– Offer a positive and open view of relationships and sexuality\n– Share evidence-based information and be contextually appropriate for the audience.

SUMMARY:GRANT-NSW - Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants - Community Infrastructure
DESCRIPTION:Provides funding to support community infrastructure such as a multipurpose community hub or a service for an eligible community group. \n\n\nThe objective of the Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants program is to fund the costs of construction\, alteration\, renovation\, completion and fit-out of buildings and community infrastructure to deliver outcomes for disadvantaged NSW communities including regional\, remote and drought-affected areas\, culturally and linguistically diverse\, disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and disaster-affected communities. This grant is one of four Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants administered by the Office of Responsible Gambling. \nWho can apply:\n– Not-for-profit organisations that will be responsible for operating and/or maintaining the infrastructure\n– Schools: applicants must consider if and how the infrastructure project is accessible to the public outside school hours\n– Local councils: applicants are required to cash-match the funding amount requested. \nYou can apply for funding under this stream if your project supports infrastructure such as:\n– Multipurpose community service or hub\n– Service for a CALD community\n– Service for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community\n– Service for homeless people\n– Service for older people\n– Service for people experiencing domestic violence\n– Service for people with disability\n– Service for young people\n– Service for women. \nYour project will need to be infrastructure that is accessible and available to the public most of the time. \nProjects can contribute to\, but are not limited to\, one or more of the following areas or outcomes: Construction\, alteration\, renovation\, completion and fit-out of buildings and community infrastructure in the community infrastructure category.
