DESCRIPTION:Funds participation in a selection of training courses offered by the Institute. \n\n\nAIM recognises the work of not-for-profit (NFP) organisations and aspiring professionals in the community\, wishing to embark on professional development. \nThe Community Training Grant provides training up to the value of $3\,000 for organisations and up to $4\,000 for individuals that can be used to fund participation on a selection of training courses offered by the Institute. \nAIM WA awards Community Training Grants in two categories: \n1. Organisational Grants\nAIM invites organisations from civic and voluntary groups\, charitable and welfare groups\, church groups and other not-for-profit organisations to apply. \n2. SUMMARY:GRANT-NSW Community Benefit Payment Scheme
DESCRIPTION:Benefits local communities and offsets the potential harm of increased gaming machines in a local government area. \n\n\nCommunity benefit payments are generally given to local not for profit and charitable organisations to support communities in the local government area where the funding is generated. \nPotential grant recipients may include\, but are not limited to\, organisations that provide services and support relating to health\, mental health\, youth\, housing\, domestic and family violence\, social or financial disadvantage and Aboriginal or culturally and linguistically diverse communities. \nFunded organisations incorporate gambling harm minimisation strategies into their usual activities in a way that contributes to the support they provide to local communities. \nWhere the funding comes from\n– When a venue applies to Liquor & Gaming NSW to increase the gaming machines on its premises\, it may be required to complete a Local Impact Assessment which examines the impact that the additional machines may have on the local area. The Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority uses the Local Impact Assessment to determine if approving the application will have an overall positive impact on the community. \nIf the application is approved\, the venue must make community benefit payments to the Responsible Gambling Fund. The payments are calculated by the Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority and are distributed to organisations that support the social wellbeing of communities in the local area. \nHow the funding is distributed\n– Community benefit payments are allocated through a closed grant process administered by the Office of Responsible Gambling. When the funding becomes available\, the Office identifies and invites potential applicants from the local area to apply for a grant. \nThe Office convenes a community contribution panel to assess applications and make a recommendation for the approval of the Deputy Secretary Hospitality and Racing. \nCommunity contribution panels consist of a local community representative (usually a local government or health representative)\, a representative of the local GambleAware service and an RGF Trustee. \nTo be eligible applications must meet the following conditions:\n– The amount of funding requested must be within the available range (the funding amounts vary and are outlined in the guidelines for each grant opportunity).\n– The proposal must be from a not for profit organisation\, social-purpose or government agency with an ABN.\n– The proposal must benefit local communities in the target LGA. \nFunding proposals are considered against the following assessment criteria:\n– The proposal is deliverable within the proposed timeframe and budget\n– The applicant has sufficient capacity and expertise to deliver the project\n– The proposal will provide benefit to communities in the target LGA\n– The proposal will achieve value for money\n– The proposal is aligned with NSW Government policy objectives. \nIf your organisation can meet the eligibility criteria and you would like to be considered if this funding becomes available in your local area\, please register your details on the funding provider’s website. \nClick here to view full funding guidelines on the provider’s website.

DESCRIPTION:Supports local music events that build new audiences and encourage the participation of young people. \n\n\nThis funding program supports contemporary music events and festivals to deliver new programming and activities that builds audiences\, promotes NSW music\, supports local music collaboration and provides opportunities for community connection through music. \nThe funding aims to:\n– Build audiences and promote NSW music\n– Increase local artist engagement with their local music scene or community\n– Increase opportunities for all ages music event programming\n– Strengthen community participation particularly in Western Sydney and regional NSW\n– Amplify the work of priority communities to build a diverse contemporary music sector. \nFunding is available for music businesses and industry professionals to generate new activity through the delivery of contemporary music events and festivals. \nContemporary music events and festivals must:\n– Be presented in NSW\n– Be majority Australian owned\n– Program new and original contemporary music\n– Have a maximum capacity of 15\,000 OR have a primary focus of First Nations cultural priorities OR be based in regional NSW or Western Sydney\n– Collaborate with local venues and community organisations to deliver new activity that supports growth in audiences\n– Provide opportunities for local community connection\n– Predominantly program local music artists and acts\n– Program artists from NSW Government priority groups. \nFor the purpose of this program:\n– A contemporary music event or festival refers to an event or festival that is predominantly programming artists and acts performing new and original music\n– The event or festival can be new or established\, but the activity you seek funding for must be new\n– The event or festival can be ticketed or free to the public\n– The event or festival can take place in existing venues or outdoor locations for public use\n– Artforms not supported through this program are: experimental music and sound art\, contemporary classical\, opera\, choral and ensembles. \n50% of the program budget will be allocated to applications for activity in Western Sydney and regional NSW. Additional priority will be given to events that support NSW Government priority groups. \nFunding can support\, but is not limited to\, activities such as:\n– All ages music event activity that supports early career artists and industry professionals to establish and grow new music scenes or communities\n– Local music events that connect local artists with local business and venues to build local audiences\n– Festivals based in regional NSW and Western Sydney programming local artists and collaborating with local business and venues. \nFunding up to $100\,000 can support new or additional programming costs for contemporary music events and festival relating to:\n– Artists fees\n– Marketing and promotion\n– Travel and accommodation costs\n– Administrative costs. \nClick here to view full funding guidelines on the provider’s website.

SUMMARY:IGA Community Chest
DESCRIPTION:Raises funds to support local communities\, charities and other worthwhile causes. It could be in response to a major event like floods or bush fires or something as simple as new soccer balls for the local under 8’s. \n\n\nIGA Community Chest and associated programs have raised over $86 million for local community groups\, not-for-profit organisations\, charities and other worthy causes. This money has assisted over 7\,000 worthwhile causes. \nThe money is raised in a number of ways but predominately through the purchase of products with an IGA Community Chest logo on the label or ticket. Also through purchasing any Community Co product you can help your local IGA grow its Community Chest fund. \nWhen you purchase a product with the IGA Community Chest logo printed on the label a percentage is credited to that store’s IGA Community Chest account. During IGA Community Chest catalogue promotion weeks\, all products in the catalogue bearing the special IGA Community Chest logo contribute to the ‘Chest’. Throughout the year\, extra fundraising activities are conducted by stores and regions. \nIGA Community Chest beneficiary cheques are distributed throughout the year in most states. \nBecause IGA stores are independently owned\, each store will choose the local causes that they would like to support. Please find your local IGA and approach them directly. \nIGA uses a three-tier selection system:\n– Local causes are chosen by individual store owners\n– Regional causes are selected by clusters of stores or regional management\n– State-level initiatives are determined in consultation with State IGA executives or boards. \nPrepare a pitch and it may include:\n– An overview of your organisation and/or the individual that you’d like supported\n– What support are you looking for – monies\, donations of goods\, providing team jumpers\, holding regular fundraising at the store\, group registrations at the store\, etc\n– How the donation will be used and your timing. DESCRIPTION:Aims to provide Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and associated equipment to NSW sport and recreation facilities and clubs. \n\n\nThe NSW Government is providing up to $500\,000 in funding to eligible sporting clubs and facility owners through the Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program in 2025/26 with grants up to $3\,000 available. \nIn 2025/26 funding is open to NSW applicants within the bottom five Socio-Economic Indexes for Areas (SEIFA) as ranked by the Australian Bureau of Statistics or those who can demonstrate financial hardship in order to prioritise available funds to those who need it most in NSW. \nThe key objectives of the Program align to the Office of Sport Strategic Plan ‘Everyone Plays Here’\, with the specific objectives to:\n– To promote wider access to these devices across NSW\n– To support local sport and recreational clubs or related incorporated organisations located in the most disadvantaged areas of NSW in purchasing an AED package. \nThe grant amount will fund the cost of an approved AED package up to $3\,000. Applicants can request a grant for one AED package and are limited to one application per financial year. \nNote: Applicants who have received funding under previous rounds of the Local Sport Defibrillator Program are eligible to apply but will only be considered for funding if the program allocation has not been fully committed by the closing date. \nTo be considered eligible under the Program\, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:\n– The organisation primarily operates in\, or the majority of participants reside within\, a postcode listed in Appendix C\, as ranked by the Australian Bureau of Statistics in their Socio-Economic Indexes for Areas (SEIFA)\, OR\n– The applicant organisation does not meet eligibility criteria 1\, but is currently experiencing financial hardship. \nEligible applicants are:\n– Incorporated\, not-for-profit clubs\, associations or organisations in NSW that are sport or active recreation related\n– State or national sport or active recreation organisations on behalf of member clubs located in NSW\n– Licensed sporting or active recreation clubs in NSW\, providing that the AED package directly benefits sport and active recreation members or participants\n– Sport clubs associated with a school\, church or university in NSW providing they are an incorporated not-for-profit club in their own right\n– Councils\, Service Clubs and other incorporated not-for-profit owners or managers of facilities that are used for sporting or active recreational activities in NSW\n– Applicants who have previously received funding under earlier rounds of the Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program\, will only be considered if program funds have not been fully allocated by the closing date. \nProgram closes: Upon funding allocation being exhausted or by 1:00 pm on 1 December 2025 whichever is earlier. \nClick here to view full funding guidelines on the provider’s website.

DESCRIPTION:Raises funds to support local communities\, charities and other worthwhile causes. It could be in response to a major event like floods or bush fires or something as simple as new soccer balls for the local under 8’s. \n\n\nIGA Community Chest and associated programs have raised over $86 million for local community groups\, not-for-profit organisations\, charities and other worthy causes. This money has assisted over 7\,000 worthwhile causes. \nThe money is raised in a number of ways but predominately through the purchase of products with an IGA Community Chest logo on the label or ticket. Also through purchasing any Community Co product you can help your local IGA grow its Community Chest fund. \nWhen you purchase a product with the IGA Community Chest logo printed on the label a percentage is credited to that store’s IGA Community Chest account. During IGA Community Chest catalogue promotion weeks\, all products in the catalogue bearing the special IGA Community Chest logo contribute to the ‘Chest’. Throughout the year\, extra fundraising activities are conducted by stores and regions. \nIGA Community Chest beneficiary cheques are distributed throughout the year in most states. \nBecause IGA stores are independently owned\, each store will choose the local causes that they would like to support. Please find your local IGA and approach them directly. \nIGA uses a three-tier selection system:\n– Local causes are chosen by individual store owners\n– Regional causes are selected by clusters of stores or regional management\n– State-level initiatives are determined in consultation with State IGA executives or boards. \nPrepare a pitch and it may include:\n– An overview of your organisation and/or the individual that you’d like supported\n– What support are you looking for – monies\, donations of goods\, providing team jumpers\, holding regular fundraising at the store\, group registrations at the store\, etc\n– How the donation will be used and your timing.
