DESCRIPTION:Assists Aboriginal Victorians to participate in Aboriginal sport carnivals\, buy sports uniforms and equipment\, as well as funding for travel and accommodation expenses for athletes to compete in state and national competitions. \n\n\nThe Aboriginal Sport Participation Grant Program provides grants to assist Aboriginal Victorians to participate in Aboriginal sporting carnivals\, buy sports uniforms and equipment\, as well as funding for travel and accommodation expenses for athletes to compete in state and national competitions. \nThe program has three categories: \nCategory 1: Aboriginal Sporting Carnivals\n– Grants of up to $2\,500 per junior team with a maximum total of $15\,000 and $1\,500 per senior team\, with a maximum total of $9\,000\, are available to eligible applicants to pay for travel\, accommodation and registration costs to participate in Victorian or national Aboriginal sporting carnivals and/or tournaments\n– Eligible organisations can apply for up to 10 separate teams or individuals under one application\, however\, under category 1 a separate application must be submitted for each specific sporting event. \nCategory 2: Uniforms or Equipment\n– Grants of up to $1\,000 per team and up to $250 per individual\, with a maximum total of $6\,000\, are available to eligible applicants\, for the purchase sporting uniforms and/or equipment\n– Eligible organisations can apply for up to 10 separate teams or individuals under one application. \nCategory 3: Athlete Participation Support (see other listing)\n– Grants of up to $350 for Regional Selection\, $550 for State Selection and $750 for National Competition Selection per individual (including athletes and coaches) are available to eligible applicants\, to pay for travel and accommodation costs to compete or train in regional\, state and national competitions or representative teams that demonstrate a pathway opportunity\n– Eligible organisations can apply for up to 10 individuals under one application\, however\, under category 3 a separate application must be submitted for each specific sporting event.\n– Applications submitted under category 3 will be accepted from the opening of Round 1 until funding is exhausted. \nWho Can Apply?\n– Aboriginal Individuals and teams that are not affiliated with a club or association can apply for a grant in categories 1 and 2 but must have an arrangement with an organisation from the list attached to these guidelines to manage the grant funding on their behalf through a funding agreement with the department.\n– Aboriginal Community groups that are not incorporated may also apply for a grant for their community members (Aboriginal individuals or teams) but must have an incorporated association acting as an auspicing body to manage the funding on their behalf through a funding agreement with the department.\n– Incorporated sporting clubs and associations or Aboriginal Community Controlled organisations may apply for a grant on behalf of the members (Aboriginal individuals or teams) and will b

DESCRIPTION:Supports community-led projects that improve health and wellbeing in communities across the state\, focusing on nutrition\, physical activity\, sleep\, wellbeing\, and/or health equity. \n\n\nThe objectives of the Health and Wellbeing Community Grants are to:\n– Increase knowledge of nutrition and empower people and communities to increase consumption of vegetables and fruits\, and support people to maintain a healthy weight to meet recommendations in the Australian Dietary Guidelines (2013) and Infant Feeding Guidelines (2012)\n– Improve opportunities and access to increase levels of physical activity and support people to maintain a healthy weight to meet the relevant national Physical activity and exercise guidelines for their age group\n– Promote better sleep to increase the proportion of Queenslanders meeting the sleep and sedentary recreational screentime recommendations in the Physical activity and exercise guidelines and the Australian Sleep Health Foundation recommendations\n– Facilitate projects and activities to support wellbeing\, including emotional\, social\, psychological\, mental\, spiritual and cultural wellbeing\, and create community connectedness to align with the Queensland Children’s Wellbeing Framework and HWQld’s Wellbeing Approach\n– Facilitate improved access to health services and resources when and where Queenslanders need them\, with a focus on promoting health equity. \nYou are strongly encouraged to consider at-risk priority populations when developing your application. DESCRIPTION:Provides financial investment into community football facilities across the state. \n\n\nClubs will be able to apply for funding to support projects that have a positive impact on AFL participation and experience. \nThe objectives of the NSW Facilities Fund are to:\n– Maximise the carrying capacity of existing venues and the quality/functionality of their supporting infrastructure\n– Develop new and increased carrying capacity through construction of new ovals\, especially in growing communities in a variety of traditional or innovative settings\n– Provide inclusive and accessible facilities that cater for the diversity of participants\, particularly female participants\, who wish to participate in our game\n– Develop venues to support the game’s complete talent pathway\, umpiring\, landmark heritage sites and people working and volunteering within the game\n– Enable planning and project partnerships to form with a range of government and non-government bodies to result in an improved quantity\, quality and welcoming venue network for Australian Football\n– Provide immediate support for those directly affected by natural disasters throughout Australia. \nEligible projects include\, but are not limited to:\n– Development of new football ovals and amenities\, both in traditional and more innovative settings\n– Provision of all gender changerooms for all those that participate in football – players\, officials and umpires\n– Identify projects where carrying capacity can be increased by upgrading playing surfaces through improved drainage\, irrigation and turf management\n– Football lighting installations or upgrades that deliver greater participation opportunities\n– Projects that protect a football facility against the impact of climate change (i.e. warm season grass conversions\, water re-use projects)\n– The upgrade or development of multi-use facilities where football is a key user/beneficiary\n– Supporting clubs impacted by natural disasters\n– Projects that meet relevant Australian Standards as per the AFL’s Preferred Facility Guidelines\n– Implementation of Environmentally Sustainable Design which applies or demonstrates principles of Universal Design. \nThe AFL Facilities Fund program is open to:\n– Local government authorities in New South Wales\n– All affiliated Australian Football Clubs in New South Wales\n– Schools based in NSW\n– Other stakeholders invested in building the capacity of our facilities and growing the game.

Each year\, VFFF and FRRR will open applications for both a NSW and QLD round. \nVFFF are eager to support early-stage work that might not otherwise be eligible for philanthropic funding. For this reason\, Backing the Future does not accept applications from registered charities or organisations. \nOther exclusions include: individuals seeking support for scholarships\, public fundraising appeals\, disaster appeals\, political projects\, litigation and/or political lobby groups. \nBacking the Future grants support:\n– Individuals (18+) researching\, piloting or accelerating early-stage ideas\n– Work based in rural and regional NSW focused on young people across one or more of VFFF’s four focus areas\n– Individuals committed to working with and elevating the voices of young people\n– Salary\, start up or project costs. \nEligibility:\n– Individuals aged 18+ who are entitled to work in Australia can apply. The winner will receive $2\,500 cash\, and Canon Product valued up to $2\,500. \n2) Education Grant – Open to any project run by a primary\, secondary\, or tertiary school/educational institution. The winner will receive $2\,500 cash\, and Canon Product valued up to $2\,500. \n3) Environment Grant – Open to any project that supports and protects the environmental sustainability of the community. The winner will receive $2\,500 cash\, and Canon Product valued up to $2\,500. \n4) First Nations Grant – Open to any group or organisation that will have a positive impact for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and/or community. The winner will receive $2\,500 cash\, and Canon Product valued up to $2\,500. \nContinuing Canon’s process from last year\, judges will select the top three entries in each category\, which will then go through to a public vote\, so the wider Canon community can have their say. \nThe top three finalists will be selected based on the environmental and social merits of their organisation\, as well as the importance of Canon technology in ensuring their initiative’s success.

SUMMARY:GRANT-SA - Sexual Health Week Community Grants
DESCRIPTION:Provides five successful organisations with a grant to host an event that raises awareness of sexual and reproductive health. \n\n\nThis year Sexual Health Week is celebrated from 8-14 September and aims to raise awareness of sexual health and relationship wellbeing. \nThe theme this year is ‘The more you know\,’ focusing on the power of accurate sexual health knowledge. \nSHINE SA wants to support your organisation or community group to get involved in Sexual Health Week! \nSHINE SA will provide five successful organisations with a $2\,000 grant (inc gst) to host an event that raises awareness of sexual and reproductive health. SHINE SA can also support your organsation by providing resources (such as posters\, condoms\, Fact Sheets) and information. \nThere are all types of events that can help start conversations around sexual health and relationship wellbeing. Here are some ideas to get you started:\n– Host a workshop or morning tea where you chat about respectful relationships and sexual health facts\n– Run a trivia session with myth-busting questions about STIs\, consent\, and contraception\n– Create a youth scavenger hunt or quiz focused on safety\, respect\, and sexual health knowledge\n– Hand out ‘knowledge kits’ with resources\, condoms\, and helpful links at your workplace or school\n– Invite a speaker or show a short video for a lunchtime info session on a sexual health topic\n– Host an event inviting people to share “one thing they wish they’d learned earlier” about sexual health\n– Host an art workshop with a session on consent and communication in relationships. \nThese events could have a theme\, for example: ‘contraception options – your choice’ highlighting the various options for contraception and their benefits. \nAnyone with an ABN (South Australia only) can apply for a grant. Preference will be given to applicants that meet the following criteria:\n– Targets 18–30 year olds\n– Broadens an understanding of sexual health and in particular safety\, pleasure and respect\n– Empowers young people to participate. \nPriority will also be given to applicants working with young adults who are culturally and linguistically diverse\, are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander\, LGBTIQA+\, have a disability\, or live in economically marginalised areas. \nOrganisations must also agree to the following –\nThe planned event will:\n– Respect diversity and inclusion\, including LGBTIQA+ inclusion\n– Offer a positive and open view of relationships and sexuality\n– Share evidence-based information and be contextually appropriate for the audience.
