We’re excited to share that SEN is now a registe We’re excited to share that SEN is now a registered charity!

This is an important milestone for us and our network. Becoming a registered charity strengthens our ability to support member organisations and expand the impact of our work across campuses.

As part of this next chapter, we will be actively exploring grant opportunities that align with our mission, with a focus on funding initiatives that support our members, including training, professional development, and sector-wide projects.

If you know of grants or opportunities that could help strengthen support for student experience, we would love to hear from you.

Thank you to our members and partners for being part of this journey with us!

We're excited to share a range of upcoming network training opportunities for members in 2026.

This year’s sessions include a practical Sponsorship Workshop facilitated by Red Lanyard, as well as a series of wellbeing workshops delivered by The Resilience Project, focused on resilience, connection and navigating change.

These training opportunities are designed to support SEN members with practical skills, tools and strategies to strengthen their organisations and teams.

Check out the full details and register here: https://studentexperiencenetwork.com.au/network-training/

We are also continuing to explore additional professional development opportunities for our network. If there is training you would like to see this year, please reach out to Kym at membership@studentexperiencenetwork.com.au to discuss.

Student safety is a shared priority across the SEN Student safety is a shared priority across the SEN network, and ongoing collaboration is essential to creating safer, more respectful campus communities.

We’re pleased to share that @usu.usyd is hosting the 3rd Student Safety Conference on Friday, 13 February 2026, with options to attend in person at the University of Sydney or virtually.

Now in its third year, the conference has become an important forum for student organisations and university staff to connect, share insights, and strengthen responses to gender-based violence on campus. With the Gender-Based Violence National Code shaping the sector, this event offers timely discussion and practical learning.

Featuring student and expert-led sessions, including Renee Hamilton, who led the development of the Gender-Based Violence National Code, the conference will explore institutional responses to the Code and provide tools to recognise concerning behaviour and understand support pathways.

We encourage SEN Members to take part and join the conversation, in person or online. Register via the link below.

We love seeing member organisations delivering practical, student-focused services that make campus life more accessible.

Uniride, operated by @msa.clayton, is an on-campus bike shop supporting students to move around safely, affordably and sustainably. From bike sales and repairs to advice for new riders, Uniride plays a key role in helping students navigate campus and beyond.

Initiatives like this show how student organisations can meet everyday needs while building connection, independence and wellbeing into the student experience!
