About the role:

The Student Events Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of UCLife^x student engagement events and contributing to the success of other UCX Programs. This includes all aspects of event coordination including ideation, planning, operation, problem solving and collaboration with stakeholders.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to contribute to the life of students on campus by creating engaging social activities. Our ideal candidate is keen to strengthen the UC community through building a comprehensive calendar of events that interests a diverse range of students throughout their journey studying at UC. Event management experience is preferred.

Essential skills and experience:

• Professional approach and ability to work in a dynamic team environment
• Ability to lead and direct staff and volunteers
• Experience and preferably qualifications in event management
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to create and distribute collateral in digital and hard copy to promote events and initiatives
• Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills with a focus on building sustainable partnerships
• Ability to manage challenging but achievable budgets
• Understanding of university setting and student needs
