The Sport and Recreation Manager – Gatton is responsible for overseeing sport operations at UQ Gatton, driving growth and success by delivering high-quality programs, fostering team excellence, and enhancing community engagement. This role will directly impact the student experience and shape community involvement through sport. This role is based full time at our UQ Gatton Campus.

In this role you will:

• Be accountable for the leadership, management and development of sport at UQ Gatton
• Establish and implement plan for sport at UQ Gatton, including services, facilities, and community engagement
• Oversee annual operational planning and budgeting
• Develop and maintain operational manuals, policies, and procedures
• Ensure compliance and delivery of venue and aquatic programs
• Promote a positive culture, including manage and develop a high-performing team

To be successful in the role you will:

• Substantive experience in sport, recreation, event, community engagement, or business management
• Relevant qualifications in sport, recreation, community engagement, business, events or similar
• Blue Card
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• RLSS Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Pool Plant Operators Certificate
