SESSION OVERVIEW

This session explores how universities can transform student engagement by connecting societies, students and campus venues through a centralised event‑planning platform. Drawing on real examples from student precincts and digital coordination tools, the presentation will unpack how streamlined scheduling, venue partnerships, and shared discovery channels can make campus life more vibrant and inclusive.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Build stronger connections between student clubs and local venues through affordable partnership models.
  • Use data‑driven insights to schedule events around real student availability.
  • Create precinct‑style ecosystems on campus that encourage spontaneous social interaction between classes.
  • Implement a unified platform for event discovery and promotion that grows society membership and participation.

The session blends behavioural insights, campus activation strategies, and technology‑enabled planning to show how small coordination changes can lead to large‑scale precinct impact.

Session Outcomes:

  • Understand how centralised event tools can reduce administrative friction and increase attendance.
  • Gain a framework for building venue partnerships that deliver student‑friendly discounts and mutual value.
  • Learn practical steps to design precincts and shared spaces that foster connection and belonging.
  • Leave with actionable strategies to help societies grow their membership and visibility through smarter scheduling and discovery.
  • Be equipped to pilot or advocate for a connected campus model that makes social planning effortless and inclusive.
