UQ Sport are on the lookout for a dynamic and adaptable individual to join the team in a newly created role that’s anything but ordinary.
The Business Support Officer provides high-level executive and operational support to the CEO and senior leadership team, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of day-to-day business activities.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the role is responsible for managing complex administrative tasks, office management, coordinating internal events and meetings, and supporting strategic initiatives.
The position plays a key role in supporting Board reporting and communications, while also ensuring the accurate management of records and the secure handling of confidential information. Through proactive executive support and strong coordination, the role contributes significantly to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of UQ Sport.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- A degree with at least four (4) years subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Proven ability to build relationships to seek information and deliver outcomes
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- The ability to prioritise workloads, work independently and meet deadlines
- A high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and SharePoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skills in project coordination
- Highly effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of administrative systems, policies and procedures or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
