About the Role
The position involves intensive networking, outreach, events, student engagement and the development of the profile and capacity of our 100 student initiated and run clubs.
This position is student facing with a lot of active service promotion, student interaction, outreach activities and hands on events. It also involves a significant amount of ‘behind the scenes’ organisational, administrative, risk and compliance work to support clubs. E.g. club affiliation, club finances, data entry, risk assessments, assessing and facilitating of club grant applications.
The position is based on the RMIT Bundoora campus and works one day per fortnight on the RMIT City campus.
A ‘can do’ attitude, exceptional organisational and administrative skills and a genuine passion for working with students and youth from diverse backgrounds is essential in this role.

Qualifications & Key Requirements
• Applicants MUST have at least two years prior work experience in a relevant role (e.g. clubs, events, community development, volunteer coordination, recreation programs, grant management) within the tertiary education, youth, or community sector.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated experience in resourcing, and maintaining effective relationships with students, clubs, youth, or community groups.
• Experience delivering effective outreach programs/events, conducting program promotion and networking.
• High level of organisational, budgetary and administrative skills, including processing and assessing grant applications.
• Experience resourcing, supervising , mentoring and supporting volunteers.
• Demonstrated experience with hands-on planning, co-ordination, logistics and delivery of small and medium scale events.
• Demonstrated computer literacy skills and proficiency in industry standard applications.
