CQUniversity are seeking a high-performing professional who is proactive, organised and committed to delivering an exceptional residential experience. In this role, you will lead a dynamic Residential Life Program, coordinating a diverse range of events, activities and initiatives that encourage student engagement, build community and enrich campus living.

You will bring strong leadership capability, excellent communication skills and the confidence to coordinate complex operational activities with initiative and accuracy. Your strengths in relationship building, conflict resolution and customer service will support residents throughout their academic journey, while your ability to manage financial processes, mentor staff, oversee compliance and plan events will ensure the smooth running of the Mackay Student Residences.

Position Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of university‑wide policies, processes and health and safety obligations, with the ability to apply these effectively within the CQU Student Residences.
• Demonstrated background in accommodation operations or the ability to quickly learn booking and reservation processes.
• Proven financial processing knowledge and experience in raising purchase orders, monitoring budgets, banking payment of accounts and reconciling financial activity.
• Excellent communication skills demonstrated through the provision of effective advice and positive dealings with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds.
• Strong background in organising and prioritising work, delivering tasks on time and resolving operational challenges both independently and collaboratively.
