SESSION OVERVIEW

As expectations around wellbeing, safety, and organisational responsibility continue to evolve, leaders must understand how psychosocial hazards impact individuals, teams, and organisational culture. This keynote will explore how student-facing organisations can move beyond compliance to create environments where people feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand what psychosocial hazards are and their impact on wellbeing, engagement, and performance.
  • Identify common psychosocial risks within student organisations, associations, clubs, and higher education environments.
  • Learn practical strategies for fostering psychological safety and a culture of care.
  • Explore the role of leaders in creating environments where people feel valued, connected, and supported.
  • Leave with actionable ideas to strengthen wellbeing and belonging within their own organisations.
