SESSION OVERVIEW 

Clubs are central to student life, but affiliation processes can be complex. This session gives attendees an inside look at current and emerging models of affiliation and re-affiliation. Through an interactive format, participants will explore challenges, share experiences, and consider improvements for future frameworks.

Session Outcomes
Compare different approaches to affiliation and re-affiliation across the sector. Share common challenges and identify workable solutions. Contribute ideas toward shaping stronger, more effective affiliation practices.

PRESENTER

Michael Connelly, Managing Director of CPR Group, is a student governance specialist with 28 years’ experience. He supports unions and guilds with constitutions, elections, SSAF and HESA compliance, board inductions board training, risk management and operating models that differentiate governance and operations. Creator of Out of the Boardinary, tailored governance training for student leaders, Michael focuses on accessing the student voice and turning decisions into impact.
