Activate UTS – Clubs Night Market 2025
The UTS Clubs Night Market returned in 2025 with a focus on community, culture and fundraising. On 27 March, Alumni Green and Jones Street came alive with over 1,000 students. Clubs sold food, crafts and merch while creative activations such as teacup decorating and live music created a festive atmosphere. Building on 2023 learnings, the event shifted from recruitment to revenue generation, helping clubs achieve sustainability.
Arc@UNSW – Phil’ Fun-a-thon
Arc’s Phil’ Fun-a-thon at UNSW remains Australia’s pinnacle student philanthropy event. Since 2016, it has supported the Child Life and Music Therapy team at Sydney Children’s Hospital through a 24-hour challenge of student-led activities. Fun-a-thon empowers students to advocate and fundraise through their networks, proving that collective energy creates real impact. It raises awareness, builds community ties and offers a joyful alternative to endurance fundraising. To date, Phil’ has raised more than $600,000 while giving students a meaningful way to give back.
UOW Pulse – International Week
UOW Pulse’s International Week 2024 celebrated cultural diversity with three themed days: Day Down Under, World of Wonders and Bollywood Bonanza, drawing 4,591 attendees. With 21 activations, it featured Indigenous storytelling, global performances and cultural workshops. Goals included celebrating diversity, fostering inclusivity, empowering student leaders and creating long-term connections. The festival built belonging and resilience through student-led celebration.
Tasmanian University Student Association – Eat It All
In Tasmania, TUSA partnered with Eat Well Tasmania and launched Eat It All to address food waste and insecurity. By reframing scraps as sustenance, the event highlighted creativity, sustainability and community. It showcased Tasmanian producers, shared seasonal meals and supported the TUSA Food Hub, proving sustainability can be both delicious and joyful.
