SESSION OVERVIEW

Large-scale events take strategy, strong partnerships, and bulletproof logistics. This session will focus on the behind-the-scenes of running large-scale student events, including the critical role of university relationships and how to stay agile when navigating complex operations.

PRESENTER

Clare Van de Wall has been with University of Sydney Union for over 16 years running large scale events, predominately Welcome Fest Semester 1 & 2 each year.  Clare thrives working on large scale outdoor events, and collaborating with student event coordinators, while bringing all areas of the USU together to create a dynamic Welcome Fest. With over 30+ years in the events and hospitality industry, a key strength is the strong relationships she has built with the University community and stakeholders over her time at Sydney Uni, along with external suppliers and event partners.
