Company Secretary – QUT Guild

About The Role

QUT Student Guild is looking for an experienced, approachable Company Secretary to uphold best-practice governance, support our Board, and ensure the ongoing impact of our student-led not-for-profit organisation.

Working alongside a collaborative General Manager, you’ll support both the Student Guild Professional Staff (GPS) and the Student Representative Council (SRC), fostering a culture of teamwork and purpose within the organisation. You’ll be responsible for guiding our Board on governance, legal, and procedural matters, enabling the organisation to meet its strategic goals with transparency and precision. In this role you will facilitate efficient board operations, nurture clear and consistent communication, and closely partner with stakeholders to advance student rights, welfare, and advocacy.

This is a key role requiring a strong office presence, although Friday is a standard work-from-home day, with modern workplace flexibility applied across the organisation.

The Guild champions QUT students by offering an Academic Advocacy Service, a Food Bank, providing funding to over 140 Clubs and Societies, and engaging in broader student welfare advocacy. We do this through operating several commercial services throughout the university as well as grant funding and the strong commitment of our dedicated student community.
