About The Role

As a Generalist Advocate at UQU, you will make a difference in the lives and university experience of UQ students, primarily focusing on the areas of Welfare & Education.

You’ll provide confidential advice & assistance to students relating to a range of academic, equity and welfare issues or concerns. A central part of your role involves advising students and advocating for the interests of students to ensure optimal and fair outcomes from UQ’s various student-centred policies and procedures. You’ll also develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the community resources available to UQ students to support their welfare and wellbeing, as well as supporting students with casual and part time Job Preparedness Skills.

You will get the chance to work as part of a holistic service with a cross-disciplinary advocacy team and will work alongside other advocates in areas ranging from Welfare,  Education, International Student support, Legal, and more.
