Engagement Manager – University of Queensland Union
About The Role
As part of UQU’s commitment to engaging our student community, we’re seeking a community-minded & people focused individual to join our leadership team in this newly created role. The role is responsible for the strategic and operational management and development of UQU’s Student Engagement department – build on existing services and initiatives, bringing creativity & innovation, while forming strong and respectful relationships across the UQ community. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a key leadership role within the organisation.
This isn’t your typical management role – we are looking for an outgoing, confident, creative individual who has a passion for working with young people, within community based structures and organisations. A typical day will see you working with your teams across the varied and diverse portfolios – whether it’s developing & implementing new volunteer strategies and initiatives, or working on a strategy for engaging with our Clubs & Societies, this is a role that varies from day to day.

This is a unique organisation, operating numerous food, beverage, entertainment and retail outlets on UQ campuses, as well as Student Advocacy and Support, and student clubs and societies at St Lucia, Gatton, Herston & Dutton Park Campuses.
