The Opportunity

Join UniSC Innovation and help shape the future of entrepreneurship! You’ll drive engagement for their business incubator, Collider, by managing communications, marketing, and events that connect startups, students, and industry leaders. From crafting strategic communication plans to delivering impactful events and overseeing social media, you’ll play a key role in fostering a vibrant innovation community.

You will

  • manage internal and external communications on behalf of the unit as well as communications for the programs and events associated with Collider
  • assume responsibility for developing communication plans, event planning and delivery, social media, marketing, and media liaison, overseeing the unit’s web presence, and managing the systems required for effective communications with internal and external audiences; and
  • actively participate in strategy and team planning discussions, providing specific input into marketing and engagement activities.

You’re a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills, allowing you to craft clear, creative messaging and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Your high-level organisational skills enable you to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting workloads with ease. With a proven ability to collaborate across all levels of an organisation, you excel at building relationships and ensuring seamless communication in a fast-paced environment.

You will possess:

  • completion of a degree in communication, marketing, business or equivalent combined with at least 5 years subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent experience and /or training in the industry;
  • sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in communication, project management and administrative principles within a large complex organisation;
  • A high degree of skill in using Microsoft 365 suite, and familiarity with using social media platforms; and
  • Sound customer service skills and demonstrated experience in planning and running events.

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (digital communications, graphic design, web design) or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience in a related discipline.
  • Familiarity or experience working with startup companies.
  • Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software.
  • Experience in projects with national audiences.
