About Flinders University Student Association (FUSA)
Flinders University Student Association (FUSA) is the student organisation that represents the rights and interests of students at Flinders University. FUSA is responsible for a wide range of small, medium, and large-scale events such as Orientation, fairs and expos, events that celebrate diversity and wellbeing, live music, free brunches, and various other campus activities. FUSA also provides a wide range of other services including managing clubs and associations, provides welfare and advocacy services.
About the Role
The Flinders University Student Association (FUSA) orchestrates a diverse array of student-focused events amalgamating enjoyment, information dissemination, awareness, and education. They are currently in search of a motivated Events Officer to invigorate a lively community across Flinders Campuses by crafting programs, events, and activities.
By actively engaging with various student groups to gauge their requirements, the selected candidate will collaboratively devise solutions that nurture community spirit, cultivate a dynamic campus ethos, and enhance the overall student journey.
In the role of Events Officer, internally designated as a Program and Events Officer, the incumbent will also:
- Collaborate with the Student Council and FUSA personnel to craft a roster of regular events and campus engagements throughout the academic calendar, aligning with defined scopes and budgets.
- Contribute to the continuous assessment and appraisal of events against predetermined key performance metrics.
- Oversee student casual employees and student volunteers in the execution of FUSA’s event initiatives.
