Managing Challenging Conversations
SESSION OVERVIEW
Maintaining your composure and effectively working through problems and challenges with others is a vital skill. In our current environment many are experiencing stress, hardship and may at times exhibit challenging behaviour.
This 2 part session will aim to build your toolkit and prepare to effectively navigate these situations towards a positive outcome for both parties.
Session Outcomes
Following the program participants will be able to:
• Appreciate the dangers of avoiding difficult conversations and the benefits of handling situations early.
• Prepare and plan for having difficult conversations.
• Identify their approach and mindset.
• Apply the listening and communication skills required while engaging in these conversations.
PRESENTER
Tania Le Page is a Senior Facilitator at time2talk. Tania is an experienced trainer, facilitator and presenter who believes in the power of action-based learning. Her key driver is assisting people to make the most of their communication- to drive business outcomes, achieve KPI’s, and improve personal and organizational wellbeing.
Her group management skills and ability to instill a motivation for learning were finely honed in Secondary classrooms for 10 years before making the transition to the business world in 2005. Her
areas of focus include Leadership Skills, Presentation Skills, Personal Branding, Emotional Intelligence, Conversational Skills, Time Management and Negotiating and Influencing.
Tania’s qualifications and extensive practice in Theatre, Education and Organizational Communication create a unique mix of skills to effectively and creatively manage content, clients, audiences and participant groups. She has worked with small and large groups in industries ranging from finance, justice, manufacturing, not-for-profit, retail, insurance and government. Accredited in the EQI-2.0, Tania is passionate about growth and development. She works in Australia and overseas to present and facilitate interpersonal communication skills at work to diverse audiences. She makes learners feel safe, engaged, empowered and energized, leading to an environment whereby they grow and adapt their own styles to embrace new ways of working.
