The University of Sydney Union (USU) is a not-for-profit organisation that has existed to serve the University of Sydney (USYD) community since 1874 when it began as a humble society for ambitious student debaters. USU are proudly the largest student-led Membership organisation in Australia. As well as operating stores, cafes, and bars across campus, USU provides a range of experiences outside of lectures and exams including Welcome Week, over 200 Clubs, festivals, events, parties, and gigs at their venues. Being not-for-profit, all income generated is reinvested for the Members, and the broader USYD community.

Supporting USU’s vision is to be the number one student union in the world, the Marketing Team is an innovative, collaborative group that strives to exceed expectations and leave an indelible mark on students, members and the broader USYD community. Strategically, USU focus’ on delivering student-centered and experiential design and content, targeted relevant communications, mobile first digital innovation and creating destinations that inspire, connect, and strengthen USU’s brands with their customers.
